1. Agreement and business information
These Terms govern access to the Melody Piano Studio website, booking platform, portals and piano lesson services operated by Melody Piano Studio (“Melody,” “we,” “us”). Business contact: support@melodypianostudio.com, 548 468 1713, 714 York St London ,ON. By creating an account or confirming a booking, you agree to these Terms and the policies incorporated by reference.
2. Accounts, parents and minors
Account information must be accurate and current. A parent or legal guardian must create and control the account for a child who cannot provide valid consent or enter the applicable agreement. The account holder is responsible for authorized use, safeguarding credentials and reviewing lesson communications.
3. Teacher profiles and service relationship
Teacher profiles describe declared qualifications, formats, availability, service areas and rates. Verification labels apply only to the specific checks actually completed and recorded. Teachers may provide services under employment or independent-contractor arrangements disclosed by Melody. A profile is not a guarantee that a teacher will suit every student.
4. Bookings and availability
A booking is not confirmed until the platform records confirmation and any required payment or credit. Availability may change during checkout; the selected time is rechecked before reservation. Private addresses and online access details are provided only as necessary for a confirmed lesson.
5. Prices, payment and receipts
The checkout summary identifies the lesson or plan, teacher, duration, format, subtotal, discount, configured tax, disclosed travel fee where applicable and total. Payment may be processed by Stripe. Melody does not intentionally store complete payment-card numbers. A receipt and booking record are made available after successful payment.
6. Recurring plans
A weekly plan reserves a recurring schedule and authorizes the disclosed monthly charge until cancelled under the applicable terms. The recurring schedule and recurring billing authorization are separate records. The checkout disclosure controls the billing amount and interval. Account holders must cancel before the stated renewal cutoff to prevent the next permitted charge.
7. Packages, coupons and credits
Packages create lesson credits subject to the quantity, teacher, duration and expiry shown at purchase. Coupons are promotional and may have eligibility, scope, expiry and use limits. Make-up credits are governed by the Cancellation Policy and are not cash unless applicable law requires otherwise.
8. Cancellations, refunds and teacher rematching
The Cancellation, Credit and Refund Policy forms part of these Terms. Consumer rights that cannot lawfully be waived remain in effect. Any first-lesson fit remedy is limited to the remedy and conditions published by Melody and is not an unlimited satisfaction guarantee.
9. Lesson conduct, communications and recordings
Users must communicate respectfully and must not harass, threaten, discriminate, circumvent safety controls or misuse private contact information. Lessons are not recorded unless the platform provides clear notice and obtains the required consent. Users may not secretly record a lesson where doing so would violate law, privacy or the teacher’s disclosed policy.
10. Educational outcomes
Progress depends on attendance, practice, student needs and other factors. Melody and teachers do not guarantee an exam result, competition result, audition outcome, performance level or specific rate of progress.
11. Suspension and termination
Melody may restrict an account or profile for non-payment, fraud, unsafe conduct, material policy breaches or legal obligations. Where reasonable, users will receive notice and an opportunity to address the issue. Records may be retained as required for transactions, disputes and law.
12. Liability and governing law
To the maximum extent permitted by law, indirect or consequential losses are excluded. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability or statutory rights that cannot lawfully be excluded. These Terms are governed by Ontario law and applicable federal Canadian law, subject to any mandatory consumer forum rights.
13. Contact and changes
Questions or complaints may be submitted through the support form or to support@melodypianostudio.com. Material changes will be communicated as required. The version accepted for a booking remains part of the transaction record.
